Bill Fowles

Bill Fowles is the Director of Bands at Delaware Hayes High school in Delaware, Ohio. Mr. Fowles is in his first year in this position, directing the Symphonic, Concert, Marching, Pep, and Jazz Bands. The marching band has performed in a Skull Session with the Ohio State University Marching Band, at Disneyworld and the Outback Bowl in Florida, and internationally in Lahardane, Ireland.

Before his time at Hayes, Mr. Fowles was the head band director at Madison Local Schools. He attended Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music in Berea, Ohio where he received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree. In addition to his responsibilities at Hayes, he is also a member on the Board of Trustees for the Central Ohio Symphony.

Alan Notestine

Alan Notestine

Mr. Notestine has been in education since 1991. He started his career at Beechcroft HS, in Columbus, Ohio. He also taught inner-city students at Columbus before becoming an Elementary Principal in 1998. Mr. Notestine came to Delaware in 2000, where he served as the Principal of Woodward Elementary until 2008. In 2008, he returned to the music classroom to teach beginning instrumental students at Willis and follow them through graduation at Hayes. Mr. Notestine received his education at The Ohio State University, graduating in 1985 (Bachelor Agricultural Economics), 1991 (Bachelor Music Education) and 1994 (Master Education Administration). He is a proud alumnus of The Ohio State University Marching Band and actively performs with Alumni Band activities, including the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer.

He enjoys spending his free time on his ten-acre farm where he raises chickens, honeybees, and loves to garden. Mr. Notestine has two adult children, Connor (fiance, Lisa) and Alaina (husband, David) who both reside in the Central Ohio area.

Anne Brandyberry

Mrs. Brandyberry is a proud Pacer and graduated from Delaware Hayes in 1976. She attended the University of Akron and then transferred to Ohio Wesleyan where she received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Mrs. Brandyberry has taught with the Columbus Diocese, Gahanna Jefferson Schools, and Delaware City Schools. In the last 37 years of teaching she has co-taught bands that went to the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, OMEA Conventions, the 2000 4th of July Parade in Washington, D.C., and organized trips to Boston and Chicago for students. Since coming to Delaware, she has taught General Music, Orchestra, and Band. Her greatest passion is teaching, especially beginners and watching their transformation.

A clarinetist, Mrs. Brandyberry has performed with various ensembles, including our local Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra, Ohio Wesleyan Wind Ensemble, and the Delaware Community Concert Band, which she has directed since 2010. When free time arises, she loves to travel, play with her two bichons Toby and Skyler, and spend time with her family and friends.
