Cadence Club
Cadence Club is the name of the parent-run organization that supports all band programs at Dempsey Middle School and Hayes High School. It is a not-for-profit group operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, providing financial support and encouragement through volunteer efforts and fundraising events for all Delaware City Schools band programs in grades 6 through 12. Cadence Club provides additional support to the Delaware City band programs because a successful high school band program requires significant additional funding, which includes support of our youngest musicians at the middle school level.
Time to update the Cadence Club bylaws!
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Cadence Club bylaws, last revised in 2016. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, we are required to maintain up-to-date bylaws to reflect our current needs and practices. We are seeking volunteers with an interest in reviewing the bylaws to join a committee. The group will review the bylaws and meet one or two times to combine our thoughts and finalize updated bylaws.
If you’re interested in contributing, please contact Sarah Williams at sarah13williams@gmail.com. The board aims to have the revised bylaws ready for approval at the September club meeting.
Minutes
Cadence Club meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month. Our minutes are a summary of what went on at those meetings; the previous month’s minutes are published before the next meeting date.
