Good Morning Band Families!
With band camp is quickly approaching, there are a few important reminders and a very important request.
The $35 meal fee is due the first day of Pre Band Camp. This fee goes toward the 16 meals we provide the band and color guard throughout the marching season. Please make the check out to Cadence Club with your band member’s name in the memo. Cash is also accepted but must be in a envelope with the band member’s name. The fee can be placed in the white Cadence Club dropbox located in the Band Room by Mr.Fowles office. We are still looking for meal sponsors for this year. If you or your business would be interested in sponsoring, please reach out to pacerbands@gmail.com and we can give you more information.
Please save the date for Tag Day Saturday August 24 9am -2pm.
Tag Day is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year. The students will be divided into groups and will be driven by parents around the city of Delaware to collect door to door donations. This is a mandatory event, if you cannot attend, please let Mr. Fowles know. A sign up for parent drivers and other volunteers for Tag Day will be going out closer to the event.
Now for our very important request…
We are looking for parent photgraphers to take pictures and video throughout the marching season and parades. Our volunteer photographers take thousands of photos for the band every year. You do not need to be a professional and you do not need to have an expensive camera. If you are interested in helping or would like more information, please reach out to our current photographer, Brenda Walter bwalter614@gmail.com
Also just a quick little note from this veteran band mom, please make sure your students are staying hydrated this week and during camp. The bigger the water bottle, the better. Also make sure they are getting outside in the heat this week, it will make the heat during camp easier to tolerate.
