Cadence Club Updates
Good morning band families!
First, thank you very much to everyone who participated in Tag Day on Saturday – it was a huge success! Thank you for being patient while we slowly remember how to run this event.
Second, our Fundraising VP, Monica Logsdon, has organized a raffle to raise money specifically for the band’s Disney trip. This will be applied to the group as a whole, not individual students. Each band and guard member will be bringing 3 tickets home after practice on Wednesday and we ask that you try to sell them to friends, family, or neighbors in the next few weeks. All stubs (with names, email addresses, and phone numbers) and unsold tickets must be turned in on September 15th. Tickets are $20 each, the prize is $500, and the winner will be pulled and announced during the home football game on September 22nd. Tickets will continue to be sold on Fridays at games and families may request additional tickets.
Lastly, the 8th grade band students from Dempsey will be joining the marching band for practice this Friday, August 25th! Students will stay after school and the entire group will eat dinner together at Hayes. We need some helping hands to serve dinner and some donations of bottled water.
